Fast & Fabulous Friday - Tone on Tone With Texture

Good Morning Friends

I promised Olivia yesterday that I would show you a fabulous card that uses virtually no colour at all.  In fact, this card is all about the tone on tone, lack of colour.  Instead, this card speaks with texture.

Supply List
Stamps - Loving Thoughts
Paper - Very Vanilla
Ink - Crumb Cake
Big Shot -  Embossing Folders - Square Lattice, Perfect Polka Dots, Vintage Wallpaper, Argyle, Elegant Lines
Tools and Accessories -  1" Square Punch, Very Vanilla Seam Binding, dimensionals, Basic Pearls

I used the square punch to cut the flagged ends of the vanilla strips but you could easily do this with a pair of scissors.  And you could vary the look of the card just by changing which embossing folders you used.

So - tell me what you think.  Not bad for a card that is completely neutral in terms of colour, huh?  It was definitely fast.  And in my opinion - it is fabulous too!

I have a crazy day ahead so I am going to keep this short!  Hope everyone is looking forward to a wonderful weekend.

God Bless,   ~Cynthia    <><

  1. Wow. Cynthia that monochronistic card is a beauty. The different embossing features are really lovely and each banner speaks. Psalm 23 Blessings to all,

  2. You were right. This monocromatic card is lovely. Perfect for a wedding, a sympathy card, or a thank you. It would also work as bithday card........especially for a man with the pearls omitted and perhaps a more masculine ribbon.

    1. Just for you Olivia (yes, I did already have it in my mind to do it. But you inspired me to actually *do* it instead of just thinking about it. Thanks for the motivation).
I will send you my club schedule so you can see if anything ever fits into your own plans. I'd love to have you join me, even only sometimes. I don't mind sharing you with the twins :). Hope Thanksgiving (with your son?) was wonderful - God Bless, ~Cynthia <><

    2. I would really appreciate having a club schedule but I don't want to overload or make it harder for regulars to finish. I had a great Thanksgiving with my hubby, my two sons, my wonderful daughter-in-law, grandson Nicolas who is 14 months and some neighbors. My only wish.....a bigger diningroom!
