Lest We Forget

 My Dearest Friends

Last spring when I ordered them, I created some gorgeous cards using the beautiful Painted Poppies and Peaceful Moments stamp sets.  No, I did not share them (I was absent from my blog for a very long time).  I also ordered the matching dies but I admit that I have not had much time to play with the Painted Labels and Poppy Moments dies.  (Bear in mind that it is always financially advantageous to purchase these as a bundle:  Peaceful Moments Bundle and Painted Poppies Bundle)

But they are gorgeous.  All of them.  And today, of all days, I could not let the opportunity pass to remind you of just how inspiring a poppy can be.  Other demonstrators have shared their beautiful creations, so I will show you two of those:

Michele Miller created this beautiful framed decor piece using the Poppy Moments dies, the Banner Pick a Punch and the Playful Alphabet dies (and adhesive sheets).  Cardstock used was Garden Green, Poppy Parade and Whisper White, along with some red rhinestone basic jewels for a subtle shine. (The shadow frame is from IKEA)

Carolyn Crann Arnold also shared a stunning card - using Basic Black, Shaded Spruce, Garden Green and Whisper White cardstock and the Red Velvet Specialty paper, the Poppy Moments dies, as well as Memento Ink and and the Country Home stamp set for the sentiment.

I love what these ladies have done.  Don't you?   It is so important to remember this day and all those who have sacrificed (and continue to sacrifice) so much for all of us.

Naturally, if you wish to purchase any of these items, I am happy to help you.  You may shop online HERE (and please use the host code Y23G9DUC).  Enjoy the rest of your day.

Blessings to you today, and all the rest.   Love Cynthia    <><

More Thank You cards as a Sympathy Gift

I told you yesterday that I had made Thank You cards for my friend whose son had just passed away suddenly.  I also told you I was very, very thankful for my Stamparatus in allowing me to make multiples of the cards, fairly quickly and easily.  Well, here is another of the cards that I produced for my friend.

I love how soft and peaceful this card is.  The Butterfly Wishes stamp set is one of the DistINKtive stamp sets that allows for multiple layers of shading to be part of the image in just a single stamping.  The effect is certainly soothing.

I made the card in 5 different colours but I think the Blackberry Bliss and Night of Navy are my favourite.  And yes, the inside has a stamped image to coordinate with the outside, and both sides of the envelope coordinate with the card as well.  It's those little touches, don't you think?

I hope all of you are experiencing smiles and hugs and laughter and joy.  Take care and God Bless you all,   Cynthia    <><

Sympathy Gift

 Hello My Friends

There are no words I could speak that would ease the pain my friend feels at the loss of her son. But I remember from when my mother passed away, how much I wanted to say thank you to all who had comforted me and shared in my sorrow at the time. So I realized I could give my friend at least one gift.

I spent today creating a couple of dozen thank you cards for her. (Thank heavens for my Stamparatus!)   I will leave them in her mailbox tomorrow.  So that over these coming days, she has them handy for when she wants to let someone know she appreciates their support.  It is a little thing.  But the only thing I can offer right now (especially since in these COVID times I cannot even just go over there to comfort her in person!)

Forever Fern makes gorgeous cards.  And when the inside of the card coordinates with the outside, and both sides of the envelope have that extra bit of coordinating flair - well, I hope she knows that these were made with love for her.  Insufficient to even barely bandage the raw pain she must feel.  But at least it is something.

Take care my friends.  Enjoy the coming week.  And take every opportunity to smile and share laughter with those you care about.

God Bless you all,   Cynthia    <><

A quick - but sad - return

Hello my friends. I have been away for a very long time because I have been busy (as I'm sure you all have been).

I thought I could pop on just to show you a card I had to make today,.  :(

I learned this morning that neighbours of ours lost their son last night. He was a young adult, and a really sweet boy. I remember him as very polite. Kind. Gentle. Helpful. And quick with a smile. I am so sad for them.

So I created a card just to let them know we are thinking about them and we care. I wish my return to this blog was under better circumstances. I shall try to post more often.

But in the meantime, I hope all of you are well and that even in this strange COVID-crazy world, you are happy and healthy and focusing on the smiles and laughter in your lives.

God Bless you all.    Cynthia.    <>< .
