Sneak Peek - Graceful Glass OnStage Samples - and RETIRING PRODUCTS

Hey There Friends

So much excitement this past weekend!  In a nutshell:

1) New catalogue
2) Retiring Products
3) Sneal Peek of Graceful Glass

1)  I got my hands on the brand new SU! catalogue last Friday night.  I cannot show you yet and customers will not be able to order from it until June 1...but trust me, you are going to LOVE the new catalogue!!

It is SPECTACULAR!!

Do you want to get your hands on the new catalogue as soon as possible?  Place an online order through me HERE before April 30 and use the hostess code YCVGTHNF, and I will have one mailed directly to your house!

2)  The retiring list came out and there are a TON of favourites going away.  Most importantly - I need to let you know that besides the 2016-18 In Colors, THIRTEEN of our other colours are being retired.  That's right.....THIRTEEN colours that you know and love are going away.  So if you own the ink pads, (or even just want to buy them) buy the re-inkers NOW, not to mention stock up on cardstock before it is sold out.

We are getting a whole bunch of fresh new gorgeous and on-trend colours in our repertoire.  But for those of you who love these ones, you should hurry HERE to order these colours before they sell out (remember to use the hostess code YCVGTHNF so I will send your catalogue to you)

Retiring colours are:
Pink Pirouette
Wild Wasabi
Soft Sky
Marina Mist
Wisteria Wonder
Tangerine Tango
Tempting Turquoise
Rose Red
Always Artichoke
Island Indigo
Elegant Eggplant
Perfect Plum
Chocolate Chip

See the rest of the retiring lists HERE and place your orders as soon as you can in order to make certain you can get them before they run out.

3)  Also this past weekend, 8000 demonstrators gathered at 14 sites worldwide to attend what we call "OnStage" events and see the new Stampin' Up! products and receive training in some of the new goodies.

I was thrilled when Stampin' Up! allowed me to play with a BRAND NEW product suite and create some samples for the OnStage event that was held in London, Ontario.

The suite I got to use includes a gorgeous stamp set (Painted Glass stamp set) and breathtaking thinlits (Stained Glass thinlits), not to mention absolutely gorgeous designer vellum (Graceful Glass Vellum)!

I will give you lots of details sometime soon, but for now, here's a look at the set of cards I made to showcase these gorgeous products.  None of these products are available for you to order until June 1, but I really wanted you to get a sneak peek at some of the gorgeous goodness that is coming your way soon in the new catalogue!

Hope you enjoy my samples.

Just so you know, the Graceful Glass suite is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of new Stampin' Up! products.  This stamp set is delightful, the thinlits are breathtaking, the vellum is absolutely to-die-for, and that's only this one suite.

The new Stampin' Up! catalogue.  Love.  Love.  LOVE!

I'll have plenty more goodies to show you over the next little while.  Enjoy the rest of your week and God Bless,     Cynthia       <><

2016-2017 Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek Blog Hop

Hello once again my Friends

Do we *ever* have a fun blog hop for you today.  You'll get to see lots and lots of lovely new sneak peeks from the 2016-2017 Annual catalogue.  And trust me - your wish list for the new catalogue is going to grow and grow!

You may be just starting the blog hop here (I'm Cynthia Millan) - or you may have come from the previous person to me on the list.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup is listed at the bottom.

But while you are here, let me show you my simple but super project.

There are lots of beautiful new stamp sets to show you, but I didn't want you to miss the lovely hostess sets at the back of the catalogue so I am using one of the great images from the Fabulous Flora hostess set.  Earlier this week I made a simple and quick card to highlight this set for my team members - but I used the beautiful silver foil vellum that is available right now, and that is retiring at the end of May.   Knowing that I love this look, I decided I could create my own designer vellum so that this card could be completely current and reproducible!
My very own "Designer Vellum" on the card on the left -- retired Silver Foil Vellum on the card on the right.

I borrowed an idea from my friend, Lisa Curcio, and used Tear&Tape adhesive to create silver embossed stripes.  In a nutshell, I laid a piece of our cardstock vellum onto our silicon craft sheet and then laid strips of Tear&Tape adhesive diagonally across it.  I trimmed the overhanging tape, removed the protective coating and poured silver embossing powder over the exposed sticky strips.  Heat emboss, and voila....gorgeous designer vellum!
Tear&Tape Across Vellum (on silicon mat)

After applying silver powder and heating - Embossed Designer Vellum

Gorgeous and fun too, am I right?

Returning to the card itself, the flower image was stamped using versamark ink onto a piece of Whisper White then silver embossing powder was added and heated.  I love the crisp look of the silver and white with our new In Color, Dapper Denim, don't you?

Some silver metallic thread and the luscious Dapper Denim 3/8" Ruched Ribbon finish this card off quite nicely!

Hope you like my project.  I'll try to give you a video version of how I created my Designer Vellum when I have a bit more time.  For now - you should be getting ready to enjoy some more terrific projects from my friends!  Don't forget to check out all the blogs and leave comments to let us know what you think!

I'd stay and chat but I, quite literally, have TONS left to do!  I'm off to finish my swaps for the Mediterranean Cruise.  Thanks to SU!, hubby and I are flying to Barcelona on the weekend where we'll meet up with hundreds of amazing demos from all over the world (you met a bunch of them as you hopped through these projects!) and we'll cruise aboard the Norwegian Epic to Italy and France with all of them.  Can't wait to enjoy this week with my friends.  Not a lot of wifi on board ship so I'll hope to post pics when I get home.  But until then, enjoy this hop through some gorgeous projects!  And get ready for June 1 when you can order from the new catalogue too!

Have a wonderful week ahead.  And thanks for popping by.  God Bless,    ~Cynthia   <><

Blog Hopping Through...Baby Love!

Hello Friends

Time once again for a Blog Hop with some of my favourite international demonstrator friends.  Today we bring you Baby Love!!  And what's not to love about babies...right?

If you are starting here (Cynthia Millan) then Welcome!  Or if you've just arrived from one of the other blogs then...well...also welcome!    Please feel free to visit every one (the list is at the bottom of this post) and don't forget to leave comments since as you know, us bloggers are absolute junkies when it comes to comments!   :)

Now to talk about my Project.

I wanted to keep it simple and gender-neutral (so I could make it in advance of needing it - and use it for ANY baby!).  So I merely stamped the duckies (they are so, so cute!) in Daffodil Delight ink on Whisper White cardstock, and added the absolute most PERFECT sentiment above!  Add a few Softly Falling embossed dots for visual interest and the card is almost done....

I wanted the balloons to look realistic so I stamped on vellum.  Ink dries very slowly on vellum so I sprinkled on some clear embossing powder and heat-set the powder and voila, the balloons look translucent!  Punched out with the Balloon Punch, they could be suspended above the ducklings.  How cute, right?  The Baker's Twine is held to the back of the balloons with a glue dot and this keeps the balloon on the card front too, without adhesive showing through.

All of these products are continuing into the new catalogue so you can make this card anytime without worrying about finding replacement items.  I love all of these goodies so am glad they are sticking around for at least a year!

I had to make a super quick card for this blog hop as I have very little time today.  But I think I managed to get some Baby Love into this project, don't you think?  Leave me a comment and let me know.  And don't forget to visit the rest of our hoppers too to see the gorgeous creations that they created.

Thank you so much for joining me today! Have a wonderful time hopping through baby projects!  God Bless,   ~Cynthia   <><

Fast and Fabulous Friday - Elegant or Trendy?!

Hello hello hello!

Told you I was back!     :)
Lovely Lace Embossed Vellum - Silver Accents
Lovely Lace Embossed Vellum - Gold Accents

Here are more of the cards we made at my 20 card class on the weekend and can I just say....it doesn't get any easier!!  For the two "Elegant" cards above, we merely ran a sheet of vellum through the Big Shot with the new Lovely Lace embossing folder and attached this to a black card.  A strip of black cardstock across the front, then a bit of embellishment and the card was done.  As you can see, the ladies had their choice of using gold or silver ribbon, and adding either pearls or rhinestones to enhance their card.  It really is THAT easy!  But boy oh boy does this card ever have wow factor in real life!
Watercolor Thank You - Work of Art Hearts

Watercolor Thank You - Work of Art Circles

As for the two "Trendy" artwork-type cards on that come next....when you want or need a card fast, Work of Art comes to the rescue again.  We merely stamped three consecutive times (without re-inking in between) with one of the swooshes that come in the Work of Art set.  Then the ladies repeated this with either the Work of Art circle stamp or the heart.  The new Watercolor Thank You provided the perfect sentiment.  And the addition of either circle or heart-shaped Coastal Cabana sequins and some matching Baker's Twine completed the card.  Quick and cute, wouldn't you say?  And I am quite liking the In Color sequins that are offered in this new catalogue.  Sometimes they are just enough to add the bling I need.

This morning I am holding my last Club until September.  Lots of classes planned over the summer, but our regularly scheduled club takes a hiatus.  So I am off to prep the final bits of cardstock.

Tune in tomorrow for a few more installments from my Inspiration Stamp Day collection.  Some elegant.  Some trendy.  Some refined.  Some bohemian.  We made something to suit everyone's taste!

And just for the record, please feel free to leave me a comment to let me know....which way do your tastes run?  Elegant and Manicured or Trendy and Interpretive?  It will be interesting to hear which kinds of cards people gravitate towards?

Until then - I hope  you are looking forward to a great day.  May your work-day be over Fast.  And may your entire day be Fabulous!

God Bless you all,       ~Cynthia      <><

Hi There Friend

Hello there to all my friends.  But especially.....

I wanted to send a little shout out today to a friend of mine.  One of those people who is strong and resilient and just can't be kept down.  She is one of those amazing women who puts her best face forward and chooses to smile openly at the world despite suffering from constant and chronic pain.

She is strong.

And she amazes me.
I had an order I needed to get to her last week, and I wanted to create a card that was just for her.  So she'd know that it wasn't "just" a card to say Thank you for her order.  But instead, was a card to let her know that she was in my heart and on my mind.

What do you think?
I think she liked it.   :)

Thinking of you S.R.   And hoping this week is a better week for you than last!

To all of you my friends - near and far - God Bless you this day and every day!!

October Clubs

Hello Friends

So - how many of you look at gorgeous things on the computer?  You surf.  You Pin.  You post.  And you dream....but you just never get around to "doing"!

Well, *doing* is what card club is all about.  Each month I invite ladies into my home on their choice of 5 different evenings and we get inky.  We create gorgeous and beautiful projects and everyone leaves with a sense of accomplishment.  Not just the "someday I want to make.....".  Instead, everyone gets to go home to the sound of ooh's and aaah's and the "You made that?" kind of compliments!!

This month we are making 3 very elegant Christmas cards - A silver Christmas Star, S
Stained Glass" Poinsettia card, and a vintage Santa.  We're also making a cute little seasonal gift purse (your choice of one of them).

If you like the idea of trying your hand at this, learning new techniques, crafting with friends (and making new ones!) and having a blast, then contact me.  We'd love to have you join us.  This month.  Or next.  Try us out and visit on one of our club dates and see how much fun it is!!

Hope you are enjoying a spectacular Fall!   God Bless,    ~Cynthia    <><

In Color Club - Strawberry Slush Window Card

Hello Dear Friends

The first instalment of the In Color Club has finally made its way out of my door and into the hands of its club members.  And I must say....it is a GREAT way to accumulate the new In Colors.

The club members each received their first In Color collection (full-sized ink pad, refill, marker, ribbon, buttons, 8.5x11 cardstock, 12x12 cardstock, DSP and Core-Dinations cardstock), plus a gorgeous monochromatic card and matching envelope to show them just how beautiful their new colours are to play with!

Today's card is the Strawberry Slush sample.  A WOW card for sure!

I have a new In Color club starting up and if you would like to be a member to collect all of the co-ordinating products in all of the new In Colors in the most economical fashion possible (plus receive some gorgeous hand-stamped cards from me), then let me know.  New members are always welcome.  And the best part is -- it is a virtual club so you don't have to come to meetings or be here in person.  If you live anywhere in Canada - you too can be a member of this virtual club.  Contact me and we can get you started on your In Color Adventure.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!  It is a long weekend for many of us here in Ontario!!  I hope, wherever you are, that your Sunday and your weekend is wonderful!

God Bless,     ~Cynthia     <><

Fast and Fabulous Friday - Very Vintage Butterflies

Hello There Friends

I hope all of you are enjoying Spring-like weather that gives a hint of the summer to come.  Here in Ottawa things are promising to turn into summer very soon now.

I have a long-over-due Fast & Fabulous Friday for you.  Once again I am in need of lots of thank you cards and I decided to get out my stamping wheels - heaven knows I do not use my wheels nearly often enough!  Do you?
So today I did.  A wheel.  A couple of stamps.  Some heat embossing and punching and voila.  Tell me what you think.

Supply List
Stamps - Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel (w117693), Papillon Potpourri (w132058, 123759), Express Yourself (w130336, c130339)
Paper - Whisper White (100730), Vellum (101856)

Ink - Wisteria Wonder (126985), Elegant Eggplant (126969)
Tools and Accessories - Elegant Butterfly Punch (127526), Jumbo Handle (103661), Clear Embossing Powder (109130), Heat Tool (129053), Stampin' Sponges (101610), Two-Way Glue Pen (100425), Dazzling Diamonds (102023), Glue Dots (103683)

This card came together so quickly.  I inked up my wheel and rolled it across the card body.  Then I added a couple of small butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri set.  I stamped the larger butterfly on vellum and since ink dries so very slowly on vellum, I sprinkled clear embossing powder on these butterflies and heat embossed them before punching them.  The vellum was sponged from behind with Eggplant ink to darken the image and make it more distinctive.  Then it was attached to the card body with a single glue dot.   The addition of a sentiment and some glitter, and your card is complete!

There you have it folks.  Fast.  And Fabulous.  At long last.
Hope everyone is looking forward to having a wonderful weekend.  I will be busy getting details ironed out for my BOGO party next Tuesday.  I'd love to see you there so please let me know if you can make it.  Until then,   God Bless,       ~Cynthia     <><
