In Colour Club - Blackberry Bliss Card

One of the things I really love about the In Color Club is that I challenge myself to create a card for the "club members" each month, using only one of the In Colors (well, and white of course!).

So for those club members who are receiving the Blackberry Bliss assortment this month - here is the card you will receive from me.  

I LOVE the Stippled Blossoms stamp set and by stamping off once or even several times, I was able to achieve several shades of Blackberry Bliss in various levels of intensity.  Isn't the effect just gorgeous?!?

And no, there is no punch that easily cuts out these blossoms and buds.  But since we had quite a long drive to get to our vacation destination this week, I was able to fussy-cut the flowers while my dear husband drove.

See?  Even my husband made a contribution to eh In Color Club this month!

Thinking of You

Hello My Friends

Yesterday I showed you a white/silver and purple Gatefold card that I felt was just perfect as a wedding card.

Well today's card is a variation of that one, but equally as gorgeous (in my opinion).  

I have a wonderful friend whom I love dearly, and both she and her husband are going through quite a difficult time right now as they face some health issues and uncertainty about the future.  

I wanted to create a card for them both that would let them know that they are in our thoughts, and in our hearts, and on our minds.  And we are keeping them in our prayers, knowing that God will bring them through this.  Somehow.

I hope that all of you are aware, continually, of just how much you are loved by so many others around you.  And to all of my friends, and especially the recipient of this card....I love you lots and lots!

Wedding Gatefold Card

Hello Dear Friends

I just wanted to quickly show you a wedding card that I was asked to make recently for a very special couple.  This was an absolute labour of love and I was very pleased with how it turned out.  It is a classic Gatefold card, with lots of wedding white and just enough silver and purple to make it positively regal!

What do you think?  Think the wedding couple will like this card too?

World of Dreams

Hello Friends

I had an absolute blast last week running my World of Dreams class.  It never ceases to amaze me that so many woman can use the same card sample, and create so many gorgeous variations using the same colours and images. 

Here were my samples.  What do you think?  Would you like to re-create these cards for yourself?

The on-site class might be finished, but this class is also available as a Kit-to-go.....meaning, you get the pre-cut cardstock (including any punched/die-cut and embossed pieces), plus the stamp set and instructions (e-mailed to you separately) for you to re-create these beauties on your own.

Kinda Eclectic Class

Hello Friends

I have been really absent for a while, haven't I?  Sorry about that, but you know how summer is, right?  Busy.  Busy.  BUSY!

In the few times that I have actually been *in* Ottawa, I have been busy designing and running classes and I must say, I have enjoyed all my stamping time with friends.  

I have one more class set to run before summer is officially over and here it is.  The Kinda Eclectic Class will run on Wed, Aug 27 at my home.  Make 5 gorgeous cards and get the stamp set as part of your registration fee!  All the registration information can be found by clicking this link.

So what quicker way to make a card than to stamp, emboss, glue and done?


In fact, it was so quick that I duplicated the card in 2 of my new Embossing Powder colours to see how it would look.

 

Which one do you prefer?  The Blushing Bride card or the Crushed Curry card?
