Fast and Fabulous Friday - So Fast and Easy Waterfront

Dear Friends

This card is Fast.

This card is Fabulous.

This card is so easy you won't believe it!

I CASed it from a card on Pinterest, but mine is even faster and easier.   Believe it or not.

No cutting.  No layers.  Just stamp away.

My Waterfront work of art is a one-layer card using Stampin' Up! thick Whisper White.
I stamped the mountains from the Waterfront stamp set in Crumb Cake (the ones further behind are stamped off once) and the sun in So Saffron.  The grass was stamped in Lemon Lime Twist and the trees in Garden Green.  The water was stamped in Pool Party then again in Dapper Denim. Then the grass in front was stamped in Pear Pizazz and the dots were stamped in Sahara Sand.
For the final detail, I used the mountain stamp with Soft Sky ink to create faint clouds.

Lots of colours. Lots of stamps. But no positioning or even being careful.  The watercolour effect of these images means you can stamp them pretty much anywhere and it all looks glorious. Everyone will think you are a true artist!
Add a sentiment to create a Sympathy Card

Don't forget to add a sentiment to the inside of your card!

This is the type of card that you can make in duplicate (or triplicate!) so you have a great card ready for any occasion, when you need it.  Leave the sentiment off like I did, then add one later to suit your needs.

Unfortunately, I seem to need a lot of sympathy cards lately so this card was turned into one using sentiments from the Rose Wonder set.  Dapper Denim sentiments on the outside and the inside and this card is ready to send.

I created a similar card last week using the Waterfront set. Just as fast.  Just as fabulous.

Trust me when I say you want the Waterfront stamp set. Purchase it plus any number of other goodies from the Occasions catalogue and/or the Annual catalogue and/or the Clearance rack.  When you order $60-worth of goodies you get to choose a FREE Sale-A-Bration item!

Even better, save a TON of money by joining my team during Sale-A-Bration.  You get to choose ANY 2 stamp sets for FREE in addition to all of the regular bonuses.  Check out the details HERE or contact meANYONE in Canada is eligible to join my team and I would be happy to discuss with you how you can save the most money!

In the meantime, I hope your Friday is Fabulous - just like this card - and that you are looking forward to a wonderful weekend!

God Bless,    Cynthia     <><

A *Very* Special Birthday Card!!

Hello My Friends

Friday morning my boss sent me a text and told me it was the Archbishop's birthday and said "Might you have a card you could bring for the staff to sign that we could give to him?"   And I very blithely answered....Sure.  Then raced downstairs to my Craft Cave to make a card for him.

I mean, I have birthday cards in my stash....but for the Archbishop????

I needed something not too frou frou.  No butterflies or flowers or ribbons or bows.  No glitter no nonsense.  Our Archbishop is a wonderful man.  Very solid.  Very learned.  And a fantastic shepherd to his people.  But it was still intimidating to think of making a card for him.

So I borrowed an idea from a Pin I have and altered it a bit and this is what I came up with.  Awesomely Artistic and Gorgeous Grunge to the rescue.  Along with the You've Got This background splotch.  Wink of Stella on the dragonfly wings to give a hint of translucence.   A retired sentiment that is exactly what I need in these sorts of situations!! And voila!

Hope he was blessed by it!  Although I signed the card I didn't get to say it in person so a much belated.....Happy Birthday your Grace.

Hope everyone's weekend has been wonderful. God Bless,   ~Cynthia    <><

Floating Re-Inker - the Video

I posted some VERY popular cards yesterday HERE and was asked to post a video so here it is.

And UPDATE - adding Wink of Stella at the end really kicks it up a notch.  See the glitz and glitter on these roses?

Close up - see the sparkle?

Wink of Stella on the Completed Rose

Watch and see how easy it is to re-create this fantastic effect!

Have a wonderful day, have fun stamping, and God Bless,   ~Cynthia    <><

Floating Re-Inker and Rose Wonder Question

Hello My Friends

Back at last.  A long story - for another time perhaps.  But for right now, I just HAD to show you these cards.
Pink Rose

Blue Rose
Coral Rose

As soon as I saw the Rose Wonder stamp set, I *knew* I would be using the Floating Re-Inker technique on the image.  My only problem is, I cannot decide which colour scheme I prefer?

What about you?  Do you prefer the:
1)  Blues (Night of Navy, Marina Mist and Tempting Turquoise)?
2)  Oranges (Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight)?
3)  Pinks  (Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo and Watermelon Wonder)?

We are making this card at club this month and I am having a hard time deciding which version to have my friends make.

What is your favourite?

Everyone who leaves me a comment will be entered into a draw to win one of these gorgeous cards.  So leave your comment below (and also some way for me to contact you if you win......!)

And what about you?  Do YOU want to join us as a guest at club this month and make one of these jaw-dropping beauties?  Come tonight or tomorrow or this weekend....Tues Jan 19 or Wed Jan 20 or Fri Jan 23, all from 7-9 pm at my home in the east end of Ottawa.
If there is enough interest I may add a Saturday club (10-noon).
Make this card plus 3 others - all for $20 or FREE with a $30 order.  (And if your order is $60, you get the class free and you ALSO get to pick a Sale-A-Bration item for FREE)
I'd love to have you join me.  Just let me know!!

Until then -- Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far.
God Bless,
Cynthia
