Hawaii Incentive Trip - June Blog Hop

Welcome to the Grand Vacation achievers blog hop for June.

This month we are excited to show off projects where we've paired goodies from the new 2015 – 2016 Catalogue with something we already had in the old Catalogue (that is still available!).  We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.  Get your wish list ready since I am certain you will see tons that you want!!
For my paired items, I used the new Remarkable You stamp set, and the "old" Sassy Salutations.

Remarkable You was one of the first stamp sets that jumped off the pages and whispered into my ear "pick me".  Something about these images set my whole heart atwitter!  And Sassy Salutations is a very versatile set with a super-cool font that can be used for just about anything; Birthday, thank you, even a Merry Christmas sentiment.  For today I needed to send a congratulatory card to a friend so here is the card I created.....It is hard to capture in these photographs, but this is a real sparkly and glittery "Wow" card in real life.
I stamped the images using Mossy Meadow ink - then....I quickly coloured over the lines (even the sentiment) using my Aquapainter.  I love the blurred-look that you achieve when the ink bleeds just a little bit!  I even dragged the aquapainter across the middles of the leaves to give them a quick pale fill with colour.  This is one of those techniques that takes seconds to do but really makes a line image pop.

But for the real kicker I covered the entire card with versamark, then iridescent ice embossing powder and heated it.  This turned a 'nice' card into an "oh-my-goodness-gracious-what-a-gorgeous-sparkly-shiny-work-of-art" card!!

So much goodness and glitter in such an easy technique.

I am afraid the photos won't ever do this card justice.  But hopefully you have a small idea of how quick and easy it is to create a stunner card.  And hopefully you love the Remarkable You images as much as I do (the other images can be seen in the product picture below).

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop.  So many amazing ideas and so much inspiration - you don't want to miss it.  You might have started your hop here or perhaps you arrived from Kylie's blog (and you probably didn't want to leave either.  Doesn't she make gorgeous creations?!).  Either way, if you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting my blog (Cynthia Millan).  Check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.

Have fun hopping and thanks for visiting.  God Bless,   ~Cynthia  <><

Fast & Fabulous Friday - Timeless Elegance

Hi there Friends.

If you haven't checked out the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper yet, then you really want to do that now.  The patterns are gorgeous.  So stunning, in fact, that I've used the paper to do all the "heavy lifting" on today's card.

Honestly, this card is really just a piece of stunning Designer Paper on top of a vanilla and black card bade.  The black rose was created using Stampin' Up!'s Spiral Flower Originals Die and you can watch my video HERE to see just how quick and easy they are to make.

A quick sentiment, some of the new metallics sequins assortment, and this card is finished faster than you can scroll down to see what materials I've used.

The photograph does not do this card justice.  It is an absolute stunner!  Trust me!
And, in fact, all my guests will re-create this card tomorrow for my 20-card class.  Will you be joining me?

Missing out on the 20-card class? Make certain you are on my mailing list (sign up in the top right corner of this page) so you can find out when all of my upcoming classes and special events are.  I'd love to see you sometime!

In the meantime, I hope you like this card as much as I do.  And I hope everyone enjoys a Fabulous Friday.      God Bless,     ~Cynthia   <><

Thankful Thursday - Awesomely Artistic Thanks

It's been a while, but I am finally giving you another installment of Thankful Thursday.

I am going to keep this pretty short.  Except to point out that I LOVE that Stampin' Up! finally brought out a heavier weight white cardstock for us to use in single layer cards.  To be honest - I am *thankful* about that on this Thursday morning!

So that's exactly what I've used here.  I stamped all of the gorgeous images from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set directly onto my thick white cardstock base.  A few dragonflies were stamped directly on the card, then onto scrap white so I could fussy cut the wings and raise them up over the stamped wings.....and that pretty much sums up the card.

But it really is wildly free and peaceful, don't you agree?

On a more serious note, today I am thankful, as always, for everything God has given me - but in particular, for my family.  I was reminded last evening just how very blessed I am to have all of them in my life.  I could wax enthusiastic and tell you all the "whys"....but then it wouldn't be the short post I promised, right?

Instead I will bid you adieu and hope that you all enjoy a wonderful day.  And that you have an opportunity to dwell on the things you should be thankful for!    God Bless,    ~Cynthia   <><

Fast and Fabulous Friday - A "You've Got This" Silver Birthday

Hello My Friends

I had a *TON* of new goodies arrive last night and I have to tell you, I am loving what I've got.  While I dig through the mountain of goodness that awaits me there, I wanted to show you a Fast and Fabulous card that I whipped up using a new and glorious stamp set called, "You've Got This".

I used my favourite colour as a backdrop for this card - Blackberry Bliss.  Yum, yum, yum!  The flower from "You've Got This" and the sentiment (from the new hostess set, "Happy Birthday, Everyone") were stamped with versamark ink and silver embossing powder was applied then heated.  Pop this panel onto a card base that has been embossed with the new embossing folder, Boho Chic and voila!

Finished.

Fast and Fabulous!
What did I tell you?

I hope you've had a chance to check out the catalogue on my side bar to see what other gorgeous goodies await you inside the pages.  Need your own copy?  Contact me HERE.  Or better yet, get your own when you Sign up for the Starter Kit.  Until June 30 you pay $125 for $155-worth of products of your choice PLUS you get to choose TWO FREE STAMP SETS!!

It's About Time....

Hello My Friends
Janet B

Frances W.

I have been so busy for a while now that I have horribly, horribly neglected you, my friends.  Well that ends.  Today!  Because let's face it - I have tons of things I want to show you!
Cecilia C.

Ellorie H.

So now is as good a time as any to get back up onto this horse - right?

First thing I want to do it back up a bit.  You see, I had been proudly showing you the works of art that my Team members had been creating each month.
Lynn C.G.

Jennifer D.

Once a month when we meet for our Team Meeting of the Canadian Sunshine Stampers, I give them each some small collection of product (usually identical packets) and challenge them to do something with those.  (For those Team members who cannot attend meetings, we arrange for them to pick the samples up from me or I send them to them).  Over the last few months they have wow-ed me with their creativity and talent and I have been thrilled to post their cards.
Dianne R.

Sylvie H.
Then.  I got.  Busy......
And distracted.
And.   I.  Forgot.

I had EVERY intention of posting their gorgeous April cards while I was en route to Hawaii.  Who knew I would fly out of 2 of the biggest and busiest airports in North America.  And NEITHER of them would have wifi?!?   Argh.  And honestly - once I got to Hawaii, I had OTHER things to think about!    :)
Kareen L.

Johanne B.

I should have posted those April cards the instant I got home....but then they presented me with their equally gorgeous May Challenge cards.  And I got further and further behind....

So now, here, finally, I am posting those gorgeous creations!
Val V.

Lynn L.

For your viewing pleasure, I present to you the April Challenge cards.  Each Team member received a 4x6 piece of Silver Glimmer Paper, and a piece from the Stacked With Love Designer Paper Stacks.  I asked them to use the black and white side of the DSP (the flip side is coloured) and, of course, they could add in any other colour(s) that they wished.  They could use all of some of the papers, full pieces or tiny punched pieces.

Take a gander at the gorgeousness they presented me with.
Rachelle A.

Julie G.

Is there any wonder I am in awe of their talent?

Hope you are equally impressed with their creativity.  Glad I finally showed these to you after having them sit on my computer for so long.

Now I am only behind by the May Challenge.  Oh yeah....and the June submissions are already being returned to me, as I type....
Meredith M.

Have a wonderful and glorious weekend and I will return tomorrow with a NEW card for you.  New card.  New catalogue.  NEW PRODUCTS!!!!
Michelle T.

Until then, don't forget that if you wish to join my team (whether it is as an active, business demonstrator or someone who wants the discount just for themselves) then I welcome you warmly.  And NOW is a GREAT time to join since you will receive TWO stamp sets of your choice FREE when you sign up (until June 30).  For more information, please feel free to contact me or click HERE.

Have a terrific day and God Bless,     ~Cynthia    <><
