Blog Hopping Through...Baby Love!

Hello Friends

Time once again for a Blog Hop with some of my favourite international demonstrator friends.  Today we bring you Baby Love!!  And what's not to love about babies...right?

If you are starting here (Cynthia Millan) then Welcome!  Or if you've just arrived from one of the other blogs then...well...also welcome!    Please feel free to visit every one (the list is at the bottom of this post) and don't forget to leave comments since as you know, us bloggers are absolute junkies when it comes to comments!   :)

Now to talk about my Project.

I wanted to keep it simple and gender-neutral (so I could make it in advance of needing it - and use it for ANY baby!).  So I merely stamped the duckies (they are so, so cute!) in Daffodil Delight ink on Whisper White cardstock, and added the absolute most PERFECT sentiment above!  Add a few Softly Falling embossed dots for visual interest and the card is almost done....

I wanted the balloons to look realistic so I stamped on vellum.  Ink dries very slowly on vellum so I sprinkled on some clear embossing powder and heat-set the powder and voila, the balloons look translucent!  Punched out with the Balloon Punch, they could be suspended above the ducklings.  How cute, right?  The Baker's Twine is held to the back of the balloons with a glue dot and this keeps the balloon on the card front too, without adhesive showing through.

All of these products are continuing into the new catalogue so you can make this card anytime without worrying about finding replacement items.  I love all of these goodies so am glad they are sticking around for at least a year!

I had to make a super quick card for this blog hop as I have very little time today.  But I think I managed to get some Baby Love into this project, don't you think?  Leave me a comment and let me know.  And don't forget to visit the rest of our hoppers too to see the gorgeous creations that they created.

Thank you so much for joining me today! Have a wonderful time hopping through baby projects!  God Bless,   ~Cynthia   <><

Snow Place Sneak Peek

Hello Friends

It should be a few months before we have to deal with snow, but I couldn't resist playing with the Snow Place stamp set and Snow Friends framelits.  They are available as a bundle and they are cute, cute, CUTE!

Here is my first attempt at playing with these friendly fellows.  Did you notice that I did NOT use the Woodland embossing folder again?  This one is called Softly Falling and I love the snow that falls gently from the sky, getting a little less dense as it approaches the ground.  And are you loving the striped ribbon across the bottom of the page?   Just enough of a candy-cane look on this card to really make you feel Christmas-y, huh?
And I think (?) the photo gives you a reasonable impression of how effective one of my favourite, quick snowbank techniques is....I ran my nail fairly roughly and vigorously along the torn top edge of the snowy hills and bent them forward just a smidge.  That way there was lots of texture and 3D edging for my glitter to hold onto.  It's an easy and effective way to give the impression of snowbanks.

Since it is so very hot here right now (who knew we would have such a stifling heat wave in August), I thought you might appreciate a little snow-fun!  Hope you are all managing to keep cool despite the heat.  And hope you enjoyed this cute little sneak peek of the goodness that awaits you on Sept 1.

Don't forget to send me your wish list so I can place your order as soon as the catalogue goes live!

Have a great day and God Bless,    ~Cynthia   <><

Sneak Peek Christmas Card For the Cat Lovers

Hello Friends

It's a busy, busy day around here but I had to show you ONE little sneak peek Christmas card, didn't I?

I used tons of new Holiday catalogue stuff on this card.

The image of the trees through the window is part of the Happy Scenes stamp set.  Good thing this is available as a bundle with the Hearth and Home Thinlit dies that cut out my window frame and window ledge!!

The cat was stamped using the Festive Fireplace stamp set and cut out with the coordinating Festive Fireside Framelit die.  Phew - thankfully available as another bundle!

The sentiment is from the new set, To You and Yours Too.

Notice the new Softly Falling embossing folder I used on the outdoor scene to make it look like it is snowing outside?

And I often wondered what I would use the clear sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment for but I feel they give this card just the right amount of oomph without detracting from the main focus, don't you think?  The new Fine Tip Glue Pen was perfect for getting just the right amount of glue here, without extra ugly blobs!

If you want to see a sneak peek of a lot more of the bundles and stamp sets and products that are available in this Holiday catalogue, check out the 4 Sneak Peek videos I made HERE.

Gotta run.  Check back tomorrow for another Sneak Peek card.  Until then - Hope you have a wonderful weekend!   God Bless,   ~Cynthia   <><
