Fast And Fabulous Friday - It's All In the Designer Paper!

Hello Stamper Friends

Finally, I am back with a Fast and Fabulous Friday.  And believe me, they don't get much faster!  This card is all about the designer paper.  And let me tell you.  This.  Is.  Gorgeous designer paper !!

The Color Me Autumn paper collection combines Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Soft Suede and even Blackberry Bliss to imitate the colours of Fall.  And some fantastic images including acorns and oak leaves and sheaves of wheat spill across the page in this very Autumn-ish-type design.  This paper is really lovely.

So today's card uses the paper as the main theme.  A few quick (and I mean *quick*) stampings, a bit of embossing and some gluing and voila, a gorgeous Fall card is complete.  Just ask all my Club members.  They created this card as part of the September club and I am pretty sure I did not hear a single one of them complain about the length of time this card took to create, nor how it looked after completion.

And are you liking the colours of ink that you see?  Keep in mind that until Oct 6, all of the single ink pads are on sale for 15% off.  So get the colours that you like best!!  And selected paper and adhesives are on sale too.  Even a few stamp sets are 20% off.  What's more, in honour of my 50th birthday (I turn 50 this week!), I am offering FREE SHIPPING on any order that is greater than $50 (before s&h and tax).  Check out more details HERE.

In the meantime, I do hope everyone has a wonderful day and is looking forward to a fantastic weekend!     God Bless,    ~Cynthia    <><

Thankful Thursday - Simple and Easy Vanilla Card

Hello Dear Friends

Sorry that I got busy and neglected you.  Things sure have been crazy around here - they probably have been where you are too, huh?

But even with life being crazy, we still should all take the time to be Thankful.  And I am.  I absolutely am.  You see, today begins one of the holiest times of the year.  And I have a *lot* to be thankful for.

We all have a lot to be thankful for.

Today is Holy Thursday.  The first day of the single saddest event in the history of mankind.  And the beginning of the most glorious!

Yes my friends.  We have a *lot* to be thankful for!  It's as simple as that.  So my card is simple too.  Just strips of Vanilla cardstock that have been embossed with various patterns.  No two the same length.  No two the same pattern.

Kinda like us, huh?     :)

You might notice though, that all of them are facing the same direction - the 'thanks'.

So whether you are getting ready to drive somewhere to visit relatives for this long Easter weekend, or staying put at home, whether you will be spending much of your weekend in a church giving praise, or spending your time on the couch watching tv, no matter how you plan to spend your time this weekend -- I hope at some point, you are thankful.  Because we have been blessed beyond compare.  Truly and remarkably blessed.

I hope for you and yours, that these last few days leading up to Easter Sunday are a time of great happiness for you.  Peace.  Joy.  And Fulfillment.  I hope you are filled with Thankfulness.  And a recognition for all the things you have to be thankful for.
And for today itself, I wish you a peaceful and peace-filled Holy Thursday.
May God Bless you all,     ~Cynthia     <><

Fast & Fabulous Friday - Tone on Tone With Texture

Good Morning Friends

I promised Olivia yesterday that I would show you a fabulous card that uses virtually no colour at all.  In fact, this card is all about the tone on tone, lack of colour.  Instead, this card speaks with texture.

Supply List
Stamps - Loving Thoughts
Paper - Very Vanilla
Ink - Crumb Cake
Big Shot -  Embossing Folders - Square Lattice, Perfect Polka Dots, Vintage Wallpaper, Argyle, Elegant Lines
Tools and Accessories -  1" Square Punch, Very Vanilla Seam Binding, dimensionals, Basic Pearls

I used the square punch to cut the flagged ends of the vanilla strips but you could easily do this with a pair of scissors.  And you could vary the look of the card just by changing which embossing folders you used.

So - tell me what you think.  Not bad for a card that is completely neutral in terms of colour, huh?  It was definitely fast.  And in my opinion - it is fabulous too!

I have a crazy day ahead so I am going to keep this short!  Hope everyone is looking forward to a wonderful weekend.

God Bless,   ~Cynthia    <><
