Howdy Friends
Hope you are all looking forward to a wonderful weekend! I have been busy preparing for 2 classes tomorrow and today's Fast and Fabulous Friday installment is one of the cards that we'll make in the Vintage Pretties Class. This card appeared on Stampin' Connection (an SU! demos only website) back in January, and it is one of the nicest, simplest and most elegant cards I've seen using the Artisan Embellishment kit. Emboss a card front. Wrap some lace and some ribbon around a mat piece. Glue on a button. Done. It really doesn't get any faster does it? But this card certainly has wow-factor.
My upline, Deb, changed the ribbon from the one that was posted on the demonstrator website and added the embossing on the card front to make it just a little bit more elegant than the original. Still Fast. And wonderfully fabulous!
I can't wait to help a bunch of my friends create this card, and more, tomorrow morning at our card class. Bummed out because you are missing the class? (and yes - you should be. The cards at these 2 classes are AMAZING!). Don't worry - both classes will be repeated in April. And I may get a chance to post the cards on Sunday. But int the meantime, I hope everyone has a spectacular weekend. God Bless, ~Cynthia <><

Sale-A-Bration Get Well
Hi Friends
Just a quick post to show you some of what you can do with the gorgeous new products that you can earn FREE during Sale-A-Bration (starts Jan 22).
The smallest size from the Floral Frames framelits cuts out the medallion image from the Sycamore Street Designer paper just perfectly. Add some of the luscious ribbon that also comes free with Sale-A-Bration, and your card is co-ordinated, cute and creative. Say that 3 times fast!
Supply List (FREE SAB products)
Stamps - Teeny Tiny Wishes (w115370, c127802)
Paper - Whisper White (100730), Rich Razzleberry (115316), Sycamore Street Designer Paper (Free with SAB)
Ink - Rich Razzleberry (126950)
Big Shot - Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder (127819), Floral Frames Framelits (127012)
Tools and Accessories - Sycamore Street Ribbon - Pool Party (Free with SAB), Basic Jewels (119246), dimensionals (104430)
It is difficult to see, but the card base and DSP mat were embossed with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder before the Razzleberry mat was adhered. In real life this gives just a bit of added visual interest to the card. And texture too. Never underestimate just how much 'oomph' a bit of texture can add to a card.
Well, that's all for today. I've got a very busy day ahead of me - and I have this and several other Get Well cards that need to be delivered to someone who has had a bunch of people praying for her!
Hope your day is as bright and cheery as this designer paper is!! God Bless, ~Cynthia <><

Fast and Fabulous Friday - Swallowtail
Wow - How long has it been since I posted a Fast & Fabulous Friday?! Way, way way too long. So now is as good a time as any to get back in the saddle (so to speak).
Any of you who 'hang around here' might remember that back in November, myself and 8 other lucky gals were at the Rising Star Retreat in Utah and were privileged to see the Spring Catalogue before pretty much anyone else had. And one of the new stamps, a large a la carte butterfly called Swallowtail, caught my eye immediately. But I will admit that I was more than just a little dismayed at the size and I wondered if I would ever find a way to use an image so large. I do believe I actually pouted!
Boy was I ever a short-sighted dolt!
The very next day the Home Office treated us to an afternoon of stamping fun, and we got to get that big Swallowtail stamp inky. And I was forced to take back every misgiving and ill-word about it that I had managed to either think or say.
Quite simply, Swallowtail is breathtaking! Majestic. Elegant. And Breathtaking.
Here are 2 Fast & Fabulous Swallowtail cards to show you what I mean:
Supply List (Spring catalogue)
Stamps - Swallowtail (w129213, c129216), Sweet Essentials (w126455, 126457))
Paper - Whisper White (100730), Island Indigo (122923), Rich Razzleberry (115316)
Ink - Island Indigo (126986), Rich Razzleberry (126950)
Big Shot - Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder (127819)
Tools and Accessories - Large Oval Punch (119855), Modern Label Punch (119849), 2-way Glue pen (100425), Dazzling Diamonds (102023), dimensionals (104430)
It really doesn't get much easier (or quicker) to make a truly stunning card. In fact, this is one of the cards that my friends will be making tomorrow at my Butterfly Bonanza Class. This is the 'simplest' of the assortment in terms of techniques. Wait till you see what you can do with this stamp image when you get just a bit fussier! :) I'll post the other projects over the next few days for you to see. Because I tell you -- you cannot go wrong with a stamp set this beautiful.
Until next time, have a wonderful day and a terrific weekend, God Bless, ~Cynthia <><

Still Just Believin'
Here I am. Right back with my favourite stamp set again. You might recall that I made a similar card to these ones just a few days ago. But I love the stamp set, and I love the colour. So I had to revisit the general theme and come up with some alternate, but equally gorgeous versions.
Supply List
Stamps - Just Believe
Paper - Whisper White
Ink - Midnight Muse
Big Shot - Lacy Brocade EF, Oval Accent Bigz Die
Tools and Accessories Stitched Satin Ribbon, sponge
See? Two very similar cards. Just different enough to be, well...different. I love them both. Let's face it, there isn't much that uses this stamp set that I don't love.
I did mean to tie a small piece of ribbon on the existing ribbon on the 2nd card. Maybe near the middle or just lower. You know, a faux bow to balance the card nicely. Can't believe I forgot. I was so excited to post, I ran forward full steam ahead. Of course the card is very nice without it, I just think I might have preferred the balance of a little bow. Too late now though. I not only photographed the card...it has already been given away. No alterations are forthcoming. Not by me at any rate. Besides, I do love it as is and I am sure the recipient does as well (although she would likely have preferred it in purple. Her favourite colour).
Off to start my day now. We are in the full throes of Fall and it is gorgeous. A bit chilly. Definitely damp (yuck!). But gorgeous to see. Hope your view of the world is as lovely.
Have a wonderful day and God Bless, ~Cynthia <><

Just a Little Change Meets Fast & Fabulous Friday - Again
Quick post today friends.
I saw a really cute and simple card on Rita's blog and thought I'd make a small change to it. Fast and fabulous and super cute. What do you think?

Just a Little Change Meets Fast & Fabulous Friday
Hi Friends
I'm late with this post today. We're trying to get ready to go to a cottage for a week and between laundry, cooking, packing and acting as mediator for minor arguments, my hands are full. But I still have a Fast & Fabulous Friday for you (after quite an extended hiatus of not contributing to this feature). And in keeping with my recent go-ahead-and-CASe-it theme, I've also used a
"Just a Little Change" element in today's card.
First up, my inspiration:
My up, up, upline sent me this card to congratulate me for my July sales. I love the card and since I was in need of some quick but cute Thank You cards for customers, I chose to use her card as a starting point and change it up just a little.
Here is my CASe version with just a few minor changes:
Supply List
Stamps - Everything Eleanor, Papillon Potpourri, Lacy & Lovely
Paper - Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie
Ink - Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie
Big Shot - Lacy Brocade EF
Tools and Accessories - Elegant Butterfly Punch, Dazzling Diamonds, dimensionals
You can see how this card very closely resembles the original. Colours, placement, the Everything Eleanor "swoosh". But it is a somewhat different card. And I was quite pleased with how it turned out.
Better yet, I think my customers will appreciate receiving it. It shows yet another way to create a simple yet striking card in just a few minutes.
I told you.
Fast.
Fabulous.
And a CASe with Just a Little Change.
How's that for multi-tasking!?!?
Have a superb weekend. And a great week ahead. God Bless, ~Cynthia <><
