I warned you that I have birthdays on the brain, right?
Well, today is the birthday of one of my very good friends! Someone I respect and admire and I feel blessed and honoured to know. She ia a beautiful woman inside and out and not only is it her birthday today, but in just a few short weeks it will be the "birth" day of her third child. I am very excited for her and her growing family. And I sent this card to her to let her know how much I cherish and appreciate her.
I CASed this card directly from the internet because I loved it from the moment I saw it - and I used it as one of our September club cards to remind my ladies that tone-on-tone can be one of the most beautiful colour combinations. In fact, most of the stamping on this card is versamark (followed by clear embossing powder) so the darker images on the Soft Suede card really are tone-on-tone. And Pool Party, combined with the Suede, is such a gorgeous punch of colour.
A bitty vellum butterfly atop the Suede/Pool Party larger one, and there is just enough dimension and 'movement' on the card to keep it bright and interesting.
And speaking of interesting - you heard about my birthday special, right?
From Oct 1-Oct
7, I will pay the shipping and handling on any order greater than $60.
Regular HST fees still apply. But the s&h will be covered by me. It is the week of my birthday and I
am sharing my happiness with all my friends. Contact me and take advantage of the FREE SHIPPING this week!
Back to work I go - so much to do to prepare for my World Card-Making Day Event this weekend! Are you going to visit us on Saturday between 10 and 3 to take part in the BOGO? Or come and take my Delightful Dahlias or Wetlands or Simply Sent Classes. You won't regret it!
In the meantime and until then -- Have a wonderful evening my friends and God Bless, ~Cynthia <><

Fast and Fabulous Friday - Daydream Medallions in Gray
Hello Friends
Can you believe it? A Fast and Fabulous Friday at long last! I have to admit, I made this card before any of my new stamps had arrived so it uses old stamp sets - but it does use a new ink colour! I'm loving me that Smoky Slate! And now that my stamps have finally arrived, be prepared to view a LOT of new samples - coming soon!
I have to tell you, I am VERY excited about the new catalogue!! Tonight I finished cutting for my Epic Inspiration Stamp event on Saturday and you have to know you are going to see some of those 20 cards on display here, don't you?
But without further ado - todays' Fast & Fabulous card (inspired by others on various people's blogs):
Supply List
Stamps - Daydream Medallions (w131976, c126467), Blooming With Kindness (w131961, 126422), Everything Eleanor (w131987, c124164)
Paper - Naturals White (102316), Night of Navy (100867)
Ink - Night of Navy (126970), Smoky Slate (NEW - 131179)
Folder (129376)
Tools and Accessories - Epic Day This and That Washi Tape (131269), Dazzling Diamonds (102023), Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246)
I love how quick and simple this card is. Especially since I had to make about 40 of them! I like to give each of my customers a hand-stamped card with their order when they come to pick it up. I enjoy making the cards, but sometimes fast (and fabulous!) is the key to staying sane.
I know what you're thinking.....I just kind of sneaked that gray washi tape right by you, didn't I? - Don't worry - I will speak more about washi tape later. For now, just enjoy my Fast and Fabulous installment for today - and promise me you'll begin your weekend with smile!
God Bless, ~Cynthia <><

Chalkboard Easel Thankful Thursday
Hello friends
I'll bet you were expecting a Valentine's Card, right? I would have - except that all my Valentine crafting was finished last week and THIS is what I wanted to show you today. If you spend any time online, then you have seen the chalkboard technique cropping up everywhere. It almost seems like I am the only stamper around who hasn't posted a card using this technique...until now that is. I wanted to wait until I had a really nice one to show you and I do believe this is it! And although the sentiment doesn't scream "Thankful"...you better believe I am thankful for all the things that I've got. Especially the things that are not "things", just like the card says. By the way, on this Valentine's Day (and every other day of the year) .....I am extremely thankful for the love of a truly wonderful man! Okay, now I am in danger of getting really off topic, so back to the card:
Supply List (Spring catalogue products)
Stamps - Feel Goods (w129681, c129684), Itty Bitties (128939), Everything Eleanor (w124162, c124164), Mixed Bunch (w125535, c125537)
Paper - Raspberry Ripple (126842), Pink Pirouette (100459), Basic Black (121045), Whisper White (100730), Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stacks (129312)
Ink - Craft White (101731), Raspberry Ripple (126842), Pink Pirouette (126859)
Big Shot - To flatten the Soda Pop Tops
Tools and Accessories - Soda Pop Tops (129388), Designer Builder Brads (129329), Watercolor Pencils - white (101879), White Embossing Powder (109132), Heat Tool (129053), Embossing Buddy (103083), Stitched Satin Ribbon - Raspberry Ripple (126845), Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309), 1/2" Circle Punch (119869), Blossom Punch (125603), dimensionals (104430), Stamping Sponges (101610)
I just love the effect of the chalkboard technique for making cards. For those who want technical details....the images were stamped with craft ink on the black cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder. A sponge very slightly loaded with white craft ink was used to create the "smudged" chalk effect and a white watercolor pencil was used to create the lines around the card. I really love this one done as an easel card - I realize I haven't done an easel fold in a while and for the life of me, I can't figure out why?! They are certainly easy enough. And boy are they ever cute!
Today's card? It is definitely above and beyond the cute category (if I do say so myself). This is one of the gorgeous cards that my club ladies are making at our February club nights. Along with a beautiful bloom card and an Easter Basket (that is wickedly cute and easy too!). If you are local and want to take club nights for a "test drive", contact me and we'll see if we can arrange for you to join us.
And don't forget about my Mystery Hostess event. Offer open to ANYONE in Canada, and you don't need to be available to come to the event evening. Just let me know you have a qualifying order to put in. EVERYONE splits the hostess benefits so you will get one of the 10 bonuses listed! Contact me today - It just doesn't get any better! :)
And in the meantime, have a wonderful day. Happy Valentine's Day again. And God Bless, ~Cynthia <><

Just a Little Change Meets Fast & Fabulous Friday
Hi Friends
I'm late with this post today. We're trying to get ready to go to a cottage for a week and between laundry, cooking, packing and acting as mediator for minor arguments, my hands are full. But I still have a Fast & Fabulous Friday for you (after quite an extended hiatus of not contributing to this feature). And in keeping with my recent go-ahead-and-CASe-it theme, I've also used a
"Just a Little Change" element in today's card.
First up, my inspiration:
My up, up, upline sent me this card to congratulate me for my July sales. I love the card and since I was in need of some quick but cute Thank You cards for customers, I chose to use her card as a starting point and change it up just a little.
Here is my CASe version with just a few minor changes:
Supply List
Stamps - Everything Eleanor, Papillon Potpourri, Lacy & Lovely
Paper - Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie
Ink - Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie
Big Shot - Lacy Brocade EF
Tools and Accessories - Elegant Butterfly Punch, Dazzling Diamonds, dimensionals
You can see how this card very closely resembles the original. Colours, placement, the Everything Eleanor "swoosh". But it is a somewhat different card. And I was quite pleased with how it turned out.
Better yet, I think my customers will appreciate receiving it. It shows yet another way to create a simple yet striking card in just a few minutes.
I told you.
Fast.
Fabulous.
And a CASe with Just a Little Change.
How's that for multi-tasking!?!?
Have a superb weekend. And a great week ahead. God Bless, ~Cynthia <><
