Fast and Fabulous Friday - Designer Paper Butterflies!

Hello Friends and sorry that I am late.

March Break officially started for my 4 kids as of last evening so we all stayed up late, and all woke up late!  Of course, they are more "on holidays" this coming week than I am.  But I still got to enjoy a sleep in today!  So when I came down to create a Fast and Fabulous Friday, I really wanted FAST!

This card certainly fits the bill!  In fact, in the span of 15 minutes I had designed the card, made 3 variations and photographed them all.  Not bad since I came downstairs without any idea what I would do.  Sometimes it helps to just look at what is on your craft table and go from there.....

This particular piece of Designer Paper from the Sweet Sorbet collection (FREE during Sale-A-Bration) was sitting on my table - I keep trying to find ways to use it and I decided today to make it my main element.  And if you know anything at all about me, you'll know how much I LOVE the Swallowtail stamp.  So I combined the 2 with some embossing and voila.  Fast.  And Fabulous.

Of course, I started with the white powder, but couldn't quite decide if it needed something "more".  So I re-created the card with Pool Party embossing powder.  Then again with Tangerine Tango.  I had to stop myself form making a copy using all of the other colours too - or I'd NEVER get the post made!!  But as you can see, once you've decided on a design, if all you are changing is the embossing powder, you can alter your colours and create something new in seconds!

I hope they photographed well enough to really let you see how striking (dare I say....FABULOUS) they are in real life.

I know which one is my favourite.  Please leave me a comment and tell me which one you prefer?

Hope you are looking forward to a Fabulous (but NOT fast) weekend!   God Bless,    ~Cynthia    <><

    1. Hello My Dear Monique! I have missed you (Still hoping that March works out for you to come to Club!!). I love the white and it was the first of the series that I made. Not sure if it or Pool Party is my favourite so far? But happy to see that we share similar tastes. Hope your weekend is spectacular! God Bless, ~Cynthia <><

    1. Thanks for letting me know I forgot to include the stamp set in my list of products!! I have fixed it now (I think). The stamp is called Swallowtail and it is one of my absolute favourites! Yes it is huge. But it makes the most gorgeous cards too! Thanks for commenting. (and interesting that you prefer the Tango. I am not an "orange" person - but I like how this one turned out too!). Have a great day and God Bless, ~Cynthia <><

    1. Susan my friend - your first choice matches my daughter's preference. I am torn between Pool Party and White but I am goign to try some others. Actually interested to see how black turns out?!? Worth a try, don't you think? Hope today's sunshine is keeping your mood and spirits bright as well. God Bless, ~Cynthia <><

    1. Thanks Anne - I am guilty of forgetting (all the time) that we can stamp directly on Designer Paper. And the effect is so cool....I have to try to bear this in mind more often.
As I've said, I waffle between the White and Pool Party - but I applaud your taste! Have a terrific weekend and God Bless, ~Cynthia <><

    1. Hey Val - Gotta go and be a politician and 'play both sides' huh? ;) But it is hard to decide. They're all pretty beautiful. After all, you can't go wrong with the Swallowtail stamp. It makes EVERY card beautiful! As for club dates...check your e-mail tomorrow. Club dates and my news about a National Scrapbooking Day event should come to you in the morning! Enjoy your weekend and God Bless, ~Cynthia <><
